Media artist, JT Singh, takes you on an intimate visual journey of the city and its locals like you’ve never seen before

Shanghai conjures up images of gigantic skyscrapers that are in the protective haze of the smog that surrounds it. What most tourists rarely encounter are, the cultural exponents of life that often goes unnoticed. The scenes of daily life seamlessly blend into Singh’s three minute long film that explores the whole city from its happening culture to the people from all walks of life.  “Amid the chaos of millions of people living and working with one another, the rich textures and smells, the voices and faces young and old, and the signs of tradition and change dwell behind each door and corner.” Singh writes.
