Read Time: < 1 minute

Donald Trump made his way to the White house today and, Slate Editor-in-chief Jacob Weisberg continues with his podcast series Trumpcast.

As Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump took over white house, a lot of people are upset. But, Jacob Weisberg, editor-in-chief of The Slate Group, is more distressed than most. On March 14 2016, he made a simple pledge while he premiered his new podcast, ā€œTrumpcast.ā€

ā€œMy Slate colleagues and I are going to put out this show at least a few times a week until the fever breaks and politics goes back to being about something other than Donald Trump,ā€ he said on the inaugural episode. ā€œThat could be a couple of weeks. It could be until November. I sure as hell hope itā€™s not eight years.ā€

His hope was that it would have run its course by the Republican convention, but here we are.

True to his word, Weisberg has continued the podcast, Essential listening for the USā€™s new political dark age.

In this episode, Virginia Heffernan talks to Ian Bremmer, president of the Eurasia Group and a columnist at Time magazine, about his latest piece, ā€œThe Era of American Global Leadership Is Over. Hereā€™s What Comes Next.ā€
