The video of the new Nanok song borrows from Banks’s video on self-love

Monica Dogra and Anushka Manchanda are making waves for starring in a video that has same sex love as the theme and has long since gone viral. Released on December 2, for the Nanok song, Lay You Down. The video was produced by Walkabout Films and directed by Navzar Eranee.

While we love the fact that India is finally talking openly and expressing itself in art for subjects that are generally taboo, we can’t help but notice the similarities between this and the July 2016 video by the singer Banks titled, Fuck With Myself.  The themes for them might be different, but the concept is the same. Watch both and decide which one you like better.
