“Good work can come from bad habits,” says Basquiat ,while Warhol lets in on the secret, “Eat dessert before dinner.” Sherman encourages you to “Tell the truth in every fiction.”Ā Writer Katya Tylevich and illustrator Mikkel Sommer have come up with 50 cards re-imagining popular artists as OraclesĀ to consult when youā€™re looking for life, work or inspiration advice.

Mikkel Sommer was born in 1987 and grew up in Copenhagen. He started freelancing in 2009, working in illustration, design for animation and comic books. He lives in Berlin with his wife and daughter. Katya Tylevich is a writer and essayist. She is Editor-at-Large for Elephant and Contributing Editor for Mark. She contributes regularly to Domus, Pin-Up and Frame among other journals, and has contributed to books, monographs and exhibition catalogues on topics in art and architecture.
