The film tries to offer some perspective on Gauri Lankesh, one of Karnataka’s most prominent journalists was shot dead outside her house in Bengaluru on the night of 5th September, 2017. It has been directed by Deepu and produced by Pedestrian Pictures and Forum Against the Assassination of Gauri Lankesh and is more than a personal tribute. It follows her political journey, envisaging what she stood for, her struggle for communal harmony and how in the end, her life story became the history of Karnatakas’s fight against right-wing communal politics.
