Hardwired To Self-Destruct

Metallica goes back to its roots with Hardwired.

It’s been eight long years since the disappointing Death Magnetic came out of the Metallica camp. In the last 24 odd hours, the band has not only released an album, titled HardwiredTo Self-Destruct, but have taken the mickey out of it and launched videos for each one of them.

Originally, the album was to be released on the 18th of November, but a Walmart store started selling the album on the 12th of this month and the band put out music videos for the tracks on the 16th of November. Released by their independent label Blackened Recordings, the double album has old school Metallica written all over it, despite this album being the first where Kirk Hammett has not featured in the songwriting credits.
