Rainbow colours, a lot of energy and smiles all around marked the 9th Queer Pride Parade in New Delhi, on Sunday. Organised by the Delhi Queer Pride Committee, the parade acts as a show of solidarity with the LGBTQ community and speaks of the right to gender equality, sexual freedom and a “life without fear.” The focus of the pride has always been to repeal Section 377 and the criminalization of homosexuality, but it often also extends support to other marginalised sections.
