Srishti Bhardwaj captures the Pride Parade In pictures

The LGBTQIA march, now in its 10th year is a movement that stands to address section 377 of the Indian Penal Code that criminalises homosexuality. Although over the years, the Pride Parade has evolved into an inclusive space that chooses to address all sorts of discrimination. In its press release this year, the organisers stated that the march would also address, “the oppressive attacks and varied forms of discrimination visited upon hijras, kothis, transwomen, transmen, lesbian, gay, intersex and sexually nonconforming, bisexual, multisexual, pansexual, asexual people and our allies in public and private spaces.”
